Kathi Cushman began her communications career as a copywriter/marketing specialist and made the move to graphic design in 1990. As Gryphon's creative force she's been immersed in Web design for the last 12 years. Before we got this crazy idea to form Gryphon she spent 12 years at Hewlett Packard, where she first became involved in Web design and communications.

Kathi has won numerous awards for graphic design. She continues to study digital media and create digital art. Her new venture, Pretty Shiny Things, will feature unique narrative and precious metal jewlery, and digital art and collage.

Jose Bautista became interested in Web communications and programming after he began to use online technologies in the course of his research as an experimental psychologist. As Gryphon's technology specialist, he finds that he continues to draw on his background in research and statistics in his work with visitor experience and creative programming solutions.

The recipient of several academic awards, Jose has been recognized for his work mentoring minority students.

Not content to eat, breath and sleep code, Jose keeps one foot in the academic world and is on the faculty at San Jose State University and West Valley College.
